WE CHANGE LIVES THROUGH RUGBY LEAGUE
WE BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE IN BRIGHTON & HOVE AND SUSSEX SHOULD HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY, COACH, REFEREE AND SUPPORT RUGBY LEAGUE AS PEOPLE IN THE HEARTLANDS
HELP US MAKE THIS A REALITY
OUR WORK
We’re building a sustainable Rugby League club, culture & community in Brighton & Hove and in the wider Sussex area.
Here are some of the things we’re doing to bring that to life.
PLAY RUGBY LEAGUE
It’s a sport for anyone, but it’s not for everyone.
For players who like to be challenged by one of the toughest sports in the world, we run Men’s and Women’s teams in RFL competitions.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
We work closely with Brighton University Panthers, who compete in the BUCS South East league.
We also have a partnership with Newman College, who compete in the RFL Southern League and were National Cup finalists in 2023.
SOCIAL RUGBY LEAGUE
Play Without Pressure at our weekly X-League (non-contact Rugby League) session. Mixed-gender and for any level of ability and fitness – it’s a big game with a great group of people. No shouty coaches, just a lot of enjoyment with occasional fixture opportunities.
Sessions take place Thursday evenings 7pm-8pm at Brighton University.
SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
In 2022, the Club launched its Schools Programme with tournaments at both Primary and Secondary level. This year, there are more tournaments than before and we’re also running Teacher CPD events, as well as identifying our first Partner Schools to receive a set of kit as well as some delivered sessions within their school.
